Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year! The smell of mulled wine, the look of a real tree and the feel of London during the festive season. So when the opportunity arose, I jumped at the chance to have a Christmas engagement photo shoot in London with Lucy and Matt.
With the weather looking a little ominous and with forecasts predicting 40mph winds, I did worry a little before meeting Lucy and Matt under the large clock inside Waterloo. But i’ll be honest, it became very apparent a little wind and rain doesn’t stop this cool couple having a lot of fun and both Lucy and Matt seemed to thoroughly enjoy this Christmas engagement photo shoot in London.
After leaving Waterloo, we headed off around the Southbank taking in the sights and sounds of the Christmas market, checking out the Christmas trees and even looking at a few xmas jumpers! (Well it’s not christmas without the jumper!)
As regular readers of my blogs have come to realise, I love an interesting back drop whether that be an interesting wall, gate or door! This shoot was no exception and when I asked Lucy and Matt to stand in front of many coloured walls, even with open mouthed tourists standing in our way, they both jumped in and were awesome in front of the camera! Lucy even spotted a road with the same name as her surname, so it was an obvious place to shoot a few frames.

After the tour of the Southbank we took a trip over Waterloo bridge battling against the winds and had a cheeky look around the very festive Covent Garden.
It was great to hear all about the upcoming wedding plans and I genuinely had a lot of fun with this awesome couple. I’m now very much looking forward to photographing Lucy and Matt’s wedding day in the summer.
