Editorial Destination Wedding Photographer

I’m a destination wedding photographer based in the UK, with the privilege and honour of capturing some awe-inspiring destination weddings, all over the world.

Magic truly comes alive when you celebrate your love in an amazing location, beyond the borders of your homeland, and to be able to photograph such a special occasion genuinely fills me with so much joy. It really is the dream job!

Capturing your love story in breathtaking locations worldwide

What’s more romantic than a destination wedding abroad? Hopping on that early morning flight to an exotic corner of the world and promising to love each other forever. Imagine saying your vows against a backdrop of a spectacular Mediterranean sunset or amidst the rustic beauty of a Tuscan vineyard.

Every story is personal, and I love bringing these unique moments to life as a modern editorial destination wedding photographer. I want to be there to capture those dreams and the authentic magic that happens when you are far from home.

modern & fashion-forward photography across Europe

My creative style allows me to capture your authentic wedding story in a fashionable and editorial way. I focus on creating stylish imagery that will be poured over for decades. Whether it is the iconic light of Lake Como, the rolling hills of Tuscany the cliffside views of Santorini, or the historic charm of a French Château, I use the environment to create captivating pictures.

Having been a professional destination wedding photographer since 2002, traveling globally with the national press, I have experienced every eventuality. You are in safe, experienced hands. From morning prep to the final dance, I am there to capture the best bits including the romance, the love, and the fun. I lovingly document every detail you have obsessed over, from the florals to the table decor, alongside those all-important fashion-forward couple pictures.

Visiting WORLD-CLASS VENUES as a destination wedding photographer

My work has taken me to some of the most prestigious properties across Europe and beyond. From the iconic terraces of Villa del Balbianello, Villa Pizzo, and Villa Monastero on Lake Como, to the rustic elegance of Masseria Grieco and Masseria Salamina in Puglia. I have also photographed weddings at Ekaterini Estate in Corfu, Dana Villas in Santorini, Château de Saint Martory in France, Beldi Country Club in Morocco, Conti di San Bonifacio in Tuscany, and the historic Palácio do Correio-Mor in Portugal.

I also work regularly with destination wedding planners across Europe. This experience has helped each wedding run seamlessly, keeping the day flowing naturally while I focus on the moments and details that matter.

Authentic 35mm Film Photography

I like to bring along an old analogue camera or two to capture special moments on real 35mm film. There is a timeless, nostalgic aesthetic to film photography that simply cannot be beaten. It adds a beautiful, grainy soul to your wedding gallery that perfectly complements my digital editorial style.

DESTINATION WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY FAQs

A curated collection of the most common questions couples ask when planning a destination wedding, answered with clarity and ease.

Q: When should we book you?

My diary for destination weddings usually fills 12 to 18 months in advance, especially for peak dates in Italy and France. Because I only take a limited number of international commissions each year to ensure high quality, I recommend reaching out as soon as your venue is locked in.

Q: Do you travel for weddings outside the uk?

Yes, my passport is always ready. While I’m based near London, I spend a large portion of the summer documenting weddings across Italy, Greece, France, Spain, and Portugal. I’m fully versed in the logistics of destination photography, from navigating car rentals in the Amalfi Coast to managing gear through international security. If your wedding is outside the UK, I handle the entire travel plan so you don’t have to.

Q: How do travel costs work?

To keep your planning as simple as possible, I provide a fixed, all-inclusive travel fee for all international weddings. I handle the entire logistics chain—from flights and car hire to my own accommodation, so you don’t have to spend a second playing travel agent. This means there are zero ‘hidden’ receipts waiting for you when you get back from your honeymoon. Just one transparent price, agreed upfront.

Q: How many days before the wedding do you arrive?

I always arrive at the destination at least 24 to 48 hours before the wedding day. This isn’t just a safety buffer for flights; it’s my time to get the ‘lay of the land.’ I use this day to scout your venue, track the sun’s path for your portraits, and identify those hidden corners that will work best if the weather shifts. By the time I start shooting, I’ve already done the homework so we can move fast on the day.

Q: Can you capture our welcome dinner or post-wedding boat trip?

Absolutely. Destination weddings are rarely just a one-day event; they are a collection of stories. I’m frequently booked to document the entire weekend—from the relaxed energy of the welcome drinks to the post-wedding beach recovery session. Capturing these extra events allows me to build a rapport with your guests, meaning they are much more relaxed around my camera when the main ceremony begins.

Q: Do you shoot in both digital and film?

I do. I primarily shoot on high-end digital systems for speed and reliability, but I also carry classic 35mm film cameras (like my old Canon or Nikon). Film offers a timeless, nostalgic grain and a ‘soul’ that digital can’t quite replicate. It’s perfect for those quiet, editorial moments during your portraits or the hazy sunset of a Mediterranean dinner. You can choose to add real film rolls to any of my destination packages.

Q: What if the weather is bad or the light is difficult??

Coming from a national press background, I’m used to shooting in high-pressure environments where ‘rescheduling’ isn’t an option. Whether it’s the harsh, overhead Mediterranean sun or an unexpected mountain storm, I have the technical kit and the experience to adapt instantly. I don’t rely on ‘perfect’ conditions to create editorial-standard images; I find the light that works and make it look intentional.

Q: Will you help us with our wedding timeline?

Yes, and this is where my experience pays off. I work closely with you (and your planner) to ensure your timeline isn’t just a list of events, but a plan that prioritizes the best light. I’ll advise on the ‘Golden Hour’ in your specific location and build in enough breathing room so you can actually enjoy your wedding rather than feeling like you’re on a photoshoot.

Q: How do you ensure our photos are safe while traveling?

This is where my professional background is most important. I shoot to dual memory cards simultaneously (an instant backup) and I never ‘clear’ a card until I am back on UK soil and the files are on my triple-redundant studio server. Even when I’m in a hotel in Santorini or a villa in Tuscany, your wedding story is backed up in multiple locations before I even head to the airport.

Q: How will we receive our photos?

Your final collection is delivered via a secure, high-resolution digital gallery designed for both desktop and mobile. It’s not just a download link; it’s a curated visual story of your day. From the gallery, you can instantly download your print-ready files, share them with family across the globe, and even order professional-grade prints and albums directly from my partner labs. Your memories are backed up and hosted safely, so they are ready whenever you are.
