Emma and Jason’s April Wotton House wedding was elegant, stylish and an all out party! Certainly, a day to remember for such a lovely couple. Check out their gorgeous wedding below.
First names: Emma & Jason
Ages: 33 & 35
Wedding date: 27.04.19
Venue: Wotton House, Dorking.
How did you guys meet, tell me all? I (Emma) was on holiday visiting my friend Ann-Maire in Dubai (who lived there) and she took us to a brunch (brunch is a big thing in dubai and all hotels put one on every Friday – it is basically 4 hours of food and alcohol for a set price, usually with live music or a DJ– a lot of fun). Jason was part of the group who Ann-Maire had invited to the brunch and we met, got on really well and the rest is history. We did 6 months long distance (with lots of mini breaks to Dubai!) and then I (Emma) quit my job in the UK and moved out to Dubai to live with Jason. We have been together 4 years now & I (Emma) have lived in Dubai 3 ½ years and Jason has been in Dubai 5 years.
How did you get engaged, is there a cool story? It’s a really cool story, Jason booked a private helicopter tour as a surprise over Dubai and proposed after on the helipad. We then went to a bar and all our friends came and met us and we had an amazing night out, was a very special day 🙂
What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many? We looked at around 5 in total and I fell in love with Wotton House as soon as I saw the Old Library where the ceremony takes place, there was no other option for us.
What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding? No major inspiration or theme, just blush pink and rose gold and classy and fun as possible! We have a really fun jazz band and an old skool Hiphop/Garage DJ for the evening as we are both from South London and love that music! I am expecting it to turn a bit messy!
What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding? Try and be as prepared as possible, do not leave too much to the last minute! I am paying for it now
