Dave and Grace’s rustic Winters Barn wedding near Canterbury was elegant, fun and very relaxed. Simply stunning! From the beautiful ceremony in the gorgeous barn, to the very upbeat and cool Motown band in the evening, this was an amazing wedding day! Check out their story below.

How did you guys meet, tell me all? We met through match.com before it was normal! We each went on some bad dates and then were relieved to finally meet someone like-minded. From the first date, we’ve rarely spent a moment apart since.
How did you get engaged, is there a cool story? We went to Marcus Wareing’s restaurant in London , scoffed 10 courses (there were no pre-proposal nerves!) and then we went to The Shard for breakfast to celebrate the next day.
What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many? We saw several in the surrounding area, but Winters Barn really stood out as a beautiful venue, with all the conveniences and stress free planning we were looking for.
What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding? We wanted something simple and understated, we’re not ones for lots of fuss so we wanted something easy going. The barn is rustic and lots of character, meaning we can get away with being lazy!
What is your first song and why? Dancing in the Dark, Bruce Springsteen. We’ve both always loved Bruce and we liked the idea of a choice that wasn’t too soppy! We saw Bruce at the Etihad stadium last year and he played ‘our song’.
What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding? Give yourself long enough to plan it, if you do, it’s actually not very stressful at all. Also don’t worry too much about what others will think, it’s your day.
