Natalie and Cameron’s wedding at The Tithe Barn in Hampshire was brilliant fun. This large DIY style wedding was essentially one big party, with friends, family, lots of good food, alcohol and great music. It was everything they could have wished for. Check it all out below.
First names: Natalie and Cameron
Ages: 27
Wedding date: 08/08/19
Venue: The Tithe Barn, Petersfield, Hampshire.
How did you guys meet, tell me all?
We met at secondary school at age 11 because we were in the same group of friend, went to prom together at 16 and then got together in Cameron’s second year of university when I (Natalie) went to visit him with a group of friends at the age of 19.
How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?
We got engaged at a destination which means a lot to us, Croyde Bay in Devon. I (Natalie) had been going on family holidays there when I was little. Cameron and I went a few times and once with my parents. When we went with my parents, Cameron asked my dad if he could ask me to marry him. The next year, Cameron and I went on holiday to Croyde again which is when Cameron proposed during an evening beach stroll along the sand dunes.
What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?
We wanted a ceremony and reception all in one place. We loved the flexibility of Tithe as we could create our own bar and hire a caterer of our choice. We loved it as soon as we stepped in the door.
What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding?
No particular theme, or inspiration. We just wanted a lovely party with our friends and family with lots of good food, alcohol and music. One of our biggest passions is music, so a band was an absolute must!
What is your first song and why?
Nick Mulvey – Fever to the Form
It was an artist we discovered together, had seen live a couple of times and meant a lot to us. Cameron also bought us tickets to see Nick Mulvey straight after our engagement as a little celebration.
What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?
Start early and spread it out, so you aren’t swamped nearer the day.
