This was such a magical wedding at The Orangery in Maidstone, Kent. Evie and Ben’s celebration was truly one for the books, radiating love and joy from the elegant woodland lapa ceremony to the exuberant evening party! How did you guys meet, tell me all? We met at Outlook Festival in Pula, Croatia! We camped near one another and started chatting and both shared a love for music and drum and bass specifically – it all went from there!
How did you get engaged, is there a cool story? We went on a date evening and walked along the Thames post dinner and Ben proposed with a great view of Tower Bridge
What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many? The outdoors and calming vibes, the sound of running water, the Orangery building is also just so beautiful and classic.
Tell me about your dress? Who was it designed by and was there a particular style you were drawn too? My dress is Essence of Australia and although I was in between a few different styles (all very different) I did envision a very simple plain dress with a big train and when I showed a photo for inspo – the shop showed me something that had just come in that week and that was the one I went for!
What was the inspiration/theme/styling of your wedding? Very simplistic and stripped back, we wanted the venue and grounds to do the talking.
What is your first song and why? Maribou State & Holly Walker – Midas. The day we met at Outlook Festival we went to watch Maribou State as the sun was setting and we both remember this song and moment very clearly.
