Emma & Dan had their wedding at The Clarendon Blackheath surrounded by their closest friends and family. From the romantic trip to Paris where they got engaged, to the Autumnal wedding in Blackheath. This is their story.
First names: Emma and Daniel
Ages: 22 & 23
Wedding date: 15th October 2016
Venue: The Clarendon Hotel
How did you guys meet, tell me all? We had the same circle of friends since our early teens but never met each other! Daniel wrote the first message and pretended to like my favourite band so he could come to a gig with me, spent almost every day together since!
How did you get engaged, is there a cool story? We were in Paris and the trip wasn’t going to plan at all, so many things had gone wrong so we decided to exchange our Valentine’s presents a day early to try and make it a little better and my present from Dan was an engagement ring!
What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many? We researched a few but decided on The Clarendon because it was central for all of our guests. We also wanted something very relaxed and simple so it was perfect.
What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding? We don’t have a specific theme but we have a few little easter eggs. Daniel loves everything Superhero so we’ve thrown a few geeky things into the day.
What is your first song and why? Certain Things by James Arthur. The lyrics are about loving someone entirely, flaws and all.
What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding? Plan your wedding for you and try not to listen to everyone else’s opinion on what your day should be, and try to enjoy every second of it because it flys by insanely quick!
