Natalie and Jamie’s wedding at Marleybrook House, with it’s vintage fair was just awesome. These guys are a truly wonderful couple together and it was a real joy to photograph their wedding day. Check it all out below.
First names: Natalie & Jamie
Ages: 26 & 29
Wedding date: 1st September 2019
Venue: Marleybrook House, Kent.
How did you guys meet, tell me all?
We met online and after just a few days of talking we decided to meet up at a local pub for a drink. 30 seconds into the date, Jamie whacked his head on a wooden beam and it broke the ice – luckily not his head! There was just an instant connection and we’ve never looked back since.
How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?
Jamie was originally planning to propose on our anniversary in Ireland but he found out that I was getting wind of it, so he decided to bring it forward and propose on a casual Tuesday evening at home. He enticed me downstairs with the promise of food and when I came around the corner into the kitchen, he was already down on one knee – it caught me completely off guard! Candles were lit; champagne and Krispy Kreme doughnuts were ready and waiting for me. When we went to Ireland shortly after for our anniversary, we were on a complete high from the engagement, it was truly magical.
What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?
We looked at quite a few online but only visited two. We went to Marleybrook House and just had that feeling that this was the right place. The ceremony area made me cry and we just loved how much fun it was.
What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding?
Rustic & down to earth.
What is your first song and why?
Meghan Trainor Feat. John Legend – Like I’m Gonna Lose You.
Our holiday to Ireland turned out to be such a special one that we’ll never forget and on our last night we sat down to dinner and this song came on. We both instantly thought that should be our first dance. We think it has such a beautiful sentiment to it – to really appreciate each other, not take things for granted and cherish every moment because you don’t know when it will be your last.
What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?
Remember it’s your day and you both are at the heart of it! Try not to get caught up with things that don’t really matter and just focus on you two!
