How did you guys meet, tell me all?
We met when we started working as lifeguards together at our local swimming pool, 6 months later Ed plucked up the courage to ask Meg to be his girlfriend, over text of course! The rest is happy history.
How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?
We were on holiday in Cornwall in a little village called Coverack. On our first day we went for a walk to the next village, after Meg complaining about the uphill walk, we stopped for a drink and when Meg turned around, Ed was down on one knee!
What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?
Knowle Country House was the first venue we looked at, it’s very local to us and as soon as we drove down the driveway we fell in love with the character and the intimacy of the venue. We looked at two others before realising nothing would compare for us!
Tell me about your dress? Who was it designed by and was there a particular style you were drawn too?
My dress was designed by Anna Sposa, as soon as I put the dress on I fell in love with the detail of the dress and the illusion train.
What was the inspiration/theme/styling of your wedding?
We didn’t want to take away from the character of the venue so went for very simplistic styling, with subtle hints to our favourite films, Harry Potter.
What is your first song and why?
Simply The Best – Cover by Noah Reid (Schitts Creek)
We watched Schitts Creek through lockdown. When we heard this song we both loved it and when deciding on our first dance we knew this had to be the one.
What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?
Work together, and focus on what is most important to you both.
