Christmas wedding at Eastwell Manor // Vicki and Jack

Vicki and Jack’s Christmas wedding at Eastwell Manor yesterday was elegant, festive and incredibly fun! With Eastwell Manor dressed to impress with Christmas just around the corner, this was such a gorgeous day!

First names: Jack & Vicki
Ages: 28 & 30
Wedding date: 14/12/19
Venue: Eastwell Manor

How did you guys meet, tell me all?

We met online! Much to the embarrassment of Jack, he originally went around telling everyone we met ‘through a friend’!

How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?

The day we got engaged started with a trip to Next, with Jack picking a very specific shirt to wear for the day! Vicki couldn’t quite understand why at the time, but it turns out it needed a buttoned pocket for the ring!
Jack proposed in the gardens at Port Lympne Zoo, we then enjoyed a private jeep safari around the park followed by romantic meal at Eastwell Manor.

What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?

Eastwell Manor is a special place for us as it was where we had our first meal as an engaged couple, it seemed perfect for a winter wedding as it’s just as beautiful on the inside as it is the outside.

What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding?

A hint of winter! We wanted to make the most of the time of year with mulled wine, mince pies and mistletoe.

What is your first song and why?

Coco and the Butterfields – Monsters – Whilst the name of the song doesn’t sound that romantic, the song is special to us as we both heard it live for the first time at a gig and thought it would be perfect for our first dance. It’s also Jack’s favourite band, who are originally from Canterbury!

What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?

Make sure the wedding reflects your personalities, don’t be driven by tradition, as long as you like it that’s all that matters.
