Louise and Miles had a gorgeous wedding at Cooling Castle Barn, located in the Kent countryside. With the sun shining, and that summer feeling in the air, this was such a fun wedding to be a part of, and an honour to capture. Check it all out below.

How did you guys meet, tell me all?

We met on tinder, I was working a nightshift and swiped right, we were a match. I wasn’t going to message but my friend told me I should just say ‘Hi’. Miles stayed up all night with me messaging even though he had work the next day.

How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?

Initially, Miles planned to propose in Mexico but unfortunately covid put a stop to that. The same week we were meant to go, Miles planned a Mexican themed night with music and food at home during lockdown and proposed to me then. It was also our anniversary. 

What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?

Soon after we got engaged we looked online at many venues. When the covid restrictions lifted for a while in 2020 we booked to visit Cooling Castle and instantly knew that was the place, we didn’t even need to look anywhere else and booked the venue there and then. 

Tell me about your dress? Who was it designed by and was there a particular style you were drawn too?

I was pretty open-minded and relaxed about finding my dress I may have even left it a little last minute (according to the shop) This was the first shop I had been to try dresses on. I went with my cousin who’s getting married later in the year and our mums. I had no idea what style I wanted or anything. After trying three dresses on I put the dress on and headed to the shop floor to see in a different light and a bigger mirror, as I was stood there looking in the mirror thinking this could be the dress mine and Miles’s wedding song came on the radio, I thought this was a sign and knew then it was the one! The dress is Morilee by Madeline Gardner. 

What was the inspiration/theme/styling of your wedding?

We were looking into ideas for themes on places like Pinterest to get inspiration, we both saved very similar ideas, I liked the sage green and blush pink while Miles liked the geometric pattern. So we put both our ideas together to create our own unique and personal theme.

What is your first song and why?

Latch (acoustic version) by Veer Glider.

We picked this song as we wanted to steer clear of the cliché first dance songs. The lyrics of this song resonate with us both, and we much preferred the female voice. 

What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?

Make sure you plan and create your day together. We have really enjoyed putting our wedding together piece by piece, listening to each other’s ideas. Also make sure to relax and enjoy it all!
