This listed barn, with its original beams dating back to 1490, has a very impressive structure. Before the advent of modern farming, it was used as a threshing barn where sheaves of wheat were stored and threshed during the winter months.
The award-winning restoration was completed in 2014, where it has since been used for special events and weddings.
Interesting quirky features include a cloistered walkway, garden room with an open log fire and a French fountain. These are what make The Great Barn at Micklefield a genuinely unique venue.
