Vaulty Manor Wedding // Donna and James

Donna and James’ Vaulty Manor wedding in Essex was the perfect antidote for anyone wishing the bank holiday weekend could have been longer. This wedding packed a punch, had a lot of emotion and was just so much fun! These guys know how to throw a wedding and with help from some of their nearest and dearest, created a wedding to remember. Check it out below.

First names: Donna and James
Ages: 34 and 32
Wedding date: 31st August 2017
Venue: Vaulty Manor

How did you guys meet, tell me all?
We met on a night out – James was quite drunk and following his superb chat up line ‘you don’t look fussy’ (clearly I am not), he spent the evening sulking because we went on to a nightclub and he hates nightclubs. Love at first sight

How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?
We had just had our 20 week scan and been told our first child was cooking as he should, so we went for a walk around Hadleigh castle to celebrate. Being 20 weeks pregnant I asked James to tie my shoe lace, which he lovingly did and then said ‘whilst I am down here…’

What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?
The name reminds us of Faulty Towers – hopefully the service isn’t so familiar!

What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding?
We love going for walks in the countryside, so we liked the barn with views over the Essex countryside – with the aim of bringing a little of the outside in!

What is your first song and why?
James Arthur – Say you won’t let go – because our son loves it!

What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?
Remember that you are just there to sign a contract – don’t sweat the small stuff!
