Rosie and Francis’s The Plough at Leigh wedding was natural, rustic and certainly had that quintessential English country feel. Especially as we were treated to the great British summertime rain! These guys had such a wonderful wedding and it was a pleasure to be there and document the day for them. Check out their amazing day below!
First names: Rosie and Francis
Ages: 33 and 31
Wedding date: 15/06/19
Venue: The Plough at Leigh, Tonbridge, Kent.
How did you guys meet, tell me all?
Through Francis’ sister, who Rosie went to school with. We were friends and then went for a date on Valentines day and the rest is history.
How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?
We got engaged at home on Valentine’s day 10 years later. Francis made Rosie a romantic dinner, then lit the log fire in the front room and then popped the question while they were sitting beside it.
What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?
It was one of the first ones we looked at, we liked the countryside location and the laid-back feel.
What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding?
– Hops and Roses
– English cottage gardens
– Scented flowers
– Natural / rustic
– Laid-back
What is your first song and why?
The platters – Only you. It was on one of Francis’ playlists, it came on one day while we were making dinner, we started dancing together so it seemed like a natural choice.
What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?
Start everything earlier than you think you should!
