How did you guys meet, tell me all?
We met on tinder, I was living in Brighton and Lorna was living in London and I was sent on a course to London which I wasn’t supposed to go to. Whilst ignoring everything on the course we both swiped right. And boom match, she messaged me first which was very funny. What she didn’t disclose straight away whilst we were talking, was that she was about to go on Take Me Out, the dating game show. However, she did turn her light off every time, even though we hadn’t even met yet.

Our first date was at winter wonderland in Hyde Park. After that meeting, we both knew we were perfect for each other.

How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?
We got engaged last year in Sorrento, it was tough as all the way through the week she kept making little digs about getting engaged and mentioning weddings, which was slightly annoying, as I thought she knew. I was hoping it would be a surprise. We had the venue booked for our nice meal out and had spoken to the owner about it. The issue was I had to hide the ring or at least get it to the restaurant without her knowing, so whilst she was getting ready for our night out, I had said I would go check on our hotel bill. What happened instead was me running through Sorrento town center in flip flops and my very funky swim shorts, to a Michelin star restaurant in the middle of the day. When I got back I still had to get the hotel bill so it didn’t look dodgy. At the meal, the ring was hidden in an Italian wooden carved box and was told by the owner only she could open it. To makes matters worse, as I still believe she knew what was going on, she says, “we should look at wedding venues whilst we are out here”. My response was ‘what’s the point’, which clearly didn’t go down well, resulting in a mini argument at the table. As she opened the box, she panicked, didn’t realise what was in the box and slammed it so hard the box nearly snapped off. The staff were all in both shock and hysterics as they were in on it. Lorna finally opened the box to find her ring, then more or less had a meltdown, asking numerous times “are you sure, are you sure?” Not exactly how I planned it, but it still was a surprise none the less.

What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?
Saw it on hitched and loved it. It was very much us.

What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding?
No real theme, just country style and relaxed and not too formal.

What is your first song and why?
Tom Walker – You and I

What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?
If the wife wants it just say yes.
