A gorgeous sunny April Wedding at Winters Barns in Canterbury, Kent. This stunning wedding, with it’s glorious Easter weather, gave Victoria and Marcus a day to remember. Check out their gorgeous wedding below.

How did you guys meet, tell me all?
7 years ago Vicky moved down to Kent by herself to start a new job. My football manager and about half the team worked at this company and after her first week they invited her on a night out. Being the only girl with about 25 blokes made her stand out! We didn’t really talk much on the first night but we had a lot in common and ended up becoming really close friends before I plucked up the courage to ask her out on our first date,
How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?
We got engaged at the end of the promenade on Folkestone harbour. It was a really beautiful (if windy) day in July. Vicky was feeling a little bit fragile as she had been at a festival the previous night. I never usually get nervous but I was absolutly petrified!! We had a lovely meal in Rocksalt and because we are both quite private people I wanted to do it somewhere quiet. The pormenade was the perfect spot. Vicky even admitted to looking out at the sea and thinking it would have been the perfect place to get engaged, just as she turned round to find me down on one knee…
What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?
We knew that there were a lot of things that we didn’t want as the backdrop to our wedding. We didn’t want a venue with ugly carpets or weird paintings on the wall, to name a few. We wanted a blank canvas and when we saw Winters Barn we absolutly fell in love with it. After a few internet searches we had narrowed it down to two venues and after veiwing both we felt that Winteres Barn was more itimate and it just felt right.
What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding?
We don’t actually have a theme. It’s probably all a bit random as we have just filled the day full of things we both love most. Cheese, wine, friends, family and doughnuts! We would have had the cats there too if we were allowed.
What is your first song and why?
So Good To Me – Chris Mallinchak
It reminds us both of the first summer we spent together.
What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?
Book everything as far in advance as you can so you can get exactly what you want! Also we found having a wedding website was a really good way to get everyones RSVPs and avoid all the emails and texts. Vicky’s brother created it for us. Having all the informaiton in one place and giving our guest the options to make song request in advance was a nice touch!
