Jess and Kelly’s Silchester Farm wedding was simply gorgeous. These beautiful ladies had a wedding that was relaxing, elegant, and extremely fun, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Check it all out below.

How did you guys meet, tell me all?
We met through a mutual friend many years ago but when I first met Kelly, I wasn’t so keen on her as she seemed loud lol. We then met up years later for our mutual a friends birthday and then on a night out. On this night out Kelly was drunk (standard) and was flirting with me, I was shocked as our mutual friend always told me, she was in love with her?! So on this night we flirted all night but at the time I had a boyfriend so I wasn’t willing to take it any further. A few months later we bumped into each other, both on a date with different people. We met at the bar as were both ordering drinks and started to have a little chat. The chemistry was still there and I decided to invite Kelly over for “rum night” as we both loved rum and I knew we would hit it off and I was right
How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?
Yes! So we were luckily enough to use my dads brand spanking new motor home during covid and we decided to take a trip to Weymouth. Little did I know Kelly had been planning to propose to me and decided to do it on this trip. One day Kelly suggested to take a picnic up Golden Cap hill which is the highest point on the south coast of Britain. We found a spot and we were having a lovely time as we had music, nice food, Champagne we the most incredible view. Kelly then gave me a gift which was a book about us , which I still did not even realise what the book was , which was her proposal at the end of it. I was so shocked when I got to the end of the book and she got the ring out, I just said “obviously yes”!
What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?
I always new we both wanted a barn wedding. As soon as I saw Silchester Farm on Hitched website I loved it. We went to see another venue before Silchester but it didn’t have the right vibe to it. But as soon as we stepped out of the car to view Silchester , I knew it was the one and especially when I saw the barn. It was intimate, rustic and beautiful.
Tell me about your dress? Who was it designed by and was there a particular style you were drawn too?
My dress was Pronavias, it was the first dress I saw online that really stood out and was so different to the typical style dress and I loved it when trying it on.

What was the inspiration/theme/styling of your wedding?
Rustic/barn/unique/very us
What is your first song and why?
Al Green – let’s stay together. We both love the song and felt it was the prefect choice and it was sung live by the OJs band.
What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?
Plan early, even the little things as I am so glad Kelly made me start early instead of leaving everything to the last minute. There is so much to do in the final week leading up to the wedding. Also just enjoy every moment of the day and try not to stress because the day flies by and it helps with the nerves if you Kay to yourself “I’m just going to enjoy every moment today”
