Marleybrook House wedding // Natasha and Dan

Natasha and Dan’s Marleybrook House wedding, complete with a vintage fayre, was just one of the most amazing weddings I’ve had the pleasure to capture. From the elegant ceremony outside the quaint 17th-century ‘chocolate box’ thatched house to the incredibly fun funfair, culminating in a party like no other, this was one very cool wedding day. Add to that these guys are two of the nicest people you’re ever likely to meet, meant I didn’t want to head home! Check it all out below.

First names: Natasha and Daniel
Ages: 26
Wedding date: 28/07/2019
Venue: Marleybrook House

How did you guys meet, tell me all?
Daniel and I met at High School in year 9. We used to be in each others Music, Dance and Drama class. We soon got split up from sitting next to each other in class when the Teachers cottoned on that we were seeing each other!

Our first date was to the seafront in Herne Bay and we still have a photo of us that we got done in the Arcades from that day.

How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?
We got engaged in Jamaica, November 2016. We went on a boat trip during the day and Dan was incredibly nervous all day, he was not taking advantage of the all inclusive drinks which is unheard of!

After the boat trip we had a romantic meal on the beach and after we went back to the room where our friends we met on holiday had decorated the room with candles and petals. Dan proposed with Tasha’s Nan’s engagement ring which had a lot of sentimental value.

What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?
We had seen photos from a previous wedding at Marleybrook House and thought it looked lovely, really quirky and quite vintage which we liked!
We viewed two other venues before booking Marleybrook House but as soon as we went there we instantly got that feeling that this was the venue for us.

We could tell that they have a personal touch and they remember each of their weddings and couples from the past.

What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding?
The venue itself is quite vintage, so we have got a funfair for day and evening guests to enjoy. The rides consist of High Striker, Victorian Swingboats and the Dodgems where we can imagine the Groom and his party enjoying!

All of our decorations are quite rustic and the colour theme is dusty lilacs and pinks.

Overall we wanted to create a chilled day and an absolute party in the evening!

What is your first song and why?
Our first song is Ed Sheeran – Perfect. Although this may sound cliche, the words are soo true for us, about ‘being kids when we fell in love’ …

When we first listened to the song together we got emotional.

What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?
DO NOT STRESS!! Although extremely hard not to but there is no need to worry soo much as it really will fall into place. Enjoy the lead up because it goes soo quickly , you do not want to regret anything because of being too stressed to enjoy.
