Isabel and Carl’s Lyminge Forest engagement shoot was such a fun day out! This forest gave such a stunning backdrop for their shoot and with the sun popping out on occasion, we managed to get some pretty cool images!
I met Isabel and Carl at Lyminge Forest, only a few miles south of Canterbury. I had noticed this place on route to another shoot a few weeks previous and thought it would be quite a good location for a shoot. So when Isabel and Carl suggested meeting down that way, I couldn’t resist trialling Lyminge Forest.
What a great location for a shoot! Even if I do say so myself. It spreads for miles and gives such a great backdrop. I can see myself re-visiting this place again.
Isabel and Carl met me within one of the car parks and we set off into the undergrowth.
Being February it certainly was cold and muddy. But with the sun coming out sporadically throughout, it gave us some cool lighting conditions. We all had such a giggle and it was really great to hear about their upcoming wedding in March.
One thing that I was very impressed with – Isabel arrived with white slip on shoes and left with white slip on shoes. How she managed that, I will never know!
It was great getting to know Isabel and Carl and I cannot wait to photograph their big day.
Until then, check out this rustic Lyminge Forest engagement shoot with Isabel and Carl below.
