Check out their amazing wedding below.

First names: Craig & Bex
Ages: 28 & 29
Wedding date: Saturday 25th August
Venue: St Peter’s Church, Ardingly and Long Furlong Barn

How did you guys meet, tell me all?
We met at University in Bristol. It was the first year of our student lives and Craig’s cousin was living in the same student flat as Bex. When Bex was moving in Craig and his cousin decided to go to the gym and Craig thought he would be the cool kid and ask Bex if she wanted to join them. After a few weeks of knowing one another and regularly going out within the same circle of friends we got together and the rest is history as they say! Clearly Craig’s offer to go to the gym was too much to resist after all.

How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?
We got engaged at Borde Hill Gardens which is set in a back drop of the Sussex countryside. Craig was fairly nervous, not mainly at the prospect of having to ask Bex to marry him, but rather the fact that there was a group of around 15-20 budding photographers behind us as we walked around. We arrived at a quaint little bench that overlooked the Balcombe viaduct and surrounding Sussex beauty where Craig popped the question as quick as he could in order to ensure that the pursuing photographers didn’t catch a glimpse of his proposal. We then went to our local pub, The Witch Inn in Lindfield, where Craig had arranged for both sets of parents to be waiting as a surprise for Bex.

What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?
We looked at around 4/5 venues and we would say that we were fairly open to most types of venues. However, the venue we chose, Long Furlong Barn, was actually the first venue we saw and we both fell in love with the aesthetics and backdrop of the rolling hills and natural beauty that it was set in. We both loved the barn type wedding and there’s something about Long Furlong Barn that gets us more and more excited each time we visit.

What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding?
We have gone for a fairly simple but rustic theme which we feel goes well with the barn and the countryside where Long Furlong is located. Think lots of wood, foliage and lavender.

What is your first song and why?
The Four Tops – I Can’t Help Myself. We were struggling to narrow down a song for our first dance, and we both wanted something that was a little different and upbeat. When we were creating our playlist for our day we came across this one and both sort of looked at each other and said this would be good for our first dance, and that was it, settled!

What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?
Remember that it’s your day so do what you both want, not what you think everyone else will want. You’re never going to please everyone so try to focus on what you want the day to be like as a couple. Above all else, try to enjoy the whole process however stressful it may get!
