How did you guys meet, tell me all?
We met in Newquay. The both of us were having a weekend with our mates! My friend and Andrew’s friend were getting on so well, we felt we were third wheeling! But we ended up having a such a good laugh together that we both stayed in touch. The rest as they say is History.
How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?
We got engaged in Florida whilst on a family holiday. Andrew’s bag was unfortunately searched whilst going through security. He had to quietly let security know there was an engagement ring in a sock in his glasses case. I walked up behind him and the security man kindly placed the glasses case to one side and checked the rest of the bag whilst I was getting the huff, wondering what was taking so long! It’s fair to say he was sweating quite a bit and thinking he was going to have to propose there and then! I also emptied his suitcase for him and put all his stuff away when we arrived, so it’s fair to say he aged quite a bit that holiday. He ended up proposing on our 2nd anniversary.
What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?
It was the only one we looked at! It took our breath away and we could immediately imagine our friends and family there celebrating our wedding day.
What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding?
Vintage/classic, we’ve tried to add our personality to it also.
What is your first song and why?
We have 2 because we love music and couldn’t choose between them. We are having U2 “All I want is you” and Foo Fighters “everlong”. Our first proper date was to see the foo fighters at Reading. Andrew sent me the U2 song whilst we were dating which was lovely (soppy buggers!)
What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?
Do what you want to do and what makes you happy. You cannot please everyone!
