How did you guys meet, tell me all?
We met on my best friends 13th Birthday who is also his cousin. We exchanged BBM’s and became friends.
How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?
We went to Greece for our 5th anniversary and I (Julie) had no clue that Aravinth would be proposing on this trip even though I wanted him to. We booked a boat tour, there was on family on board (husband, wife and child). I sat on the front of the boat with the wife, where we spoke and I complained about aravinth not proposing on this trip. We then went snorkling, and on the third aravinth stayed back. He had then spoken to the husband really quickly saying he was going to propose and asked him to record. I swam back and aravinth asked me to put some clothes on for a photo, I refused haha but he managed to get me to wear my skirt. He then signled at the guy and proposed! It was beautiful.
What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?
We looked at a few, one thing that stood out at Hayne House was the Lounge for the groom and his groomsman, Ive noticed that a lot of venues focus heavily on the bride. The orangery was elegant and the perfect size for the amount of guests we wanted to have, it will be an intimate wedding.
Tell me about your dress? Who was it designed by and was there a particular style you were drawn too?
Made with Love. I loved Australian wedding dresses, but it was so difficult to find stockists. I eventually found made with love and literally fell in love with “Posie”. We tried it on and I felt AMAZING. We knew it was the one instantly.
What was the inspiration/theme/styling of your wedding?
The theme is elegant, relaxed and fun.
What is your first song and why?
Forever after all by Luke Combes.
Aravinth is into country music at the moment and came across this song, we both love it and thought it would be the perfect first dance song.
What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?
Plan in advance. I feel super relaxed about the wedding because all decisions have now been made. Now I just have to look forward to the day.
