When the Beast from the East 2.0 descended onto the UK, with more snow and icy conditions, I was wondering if this shoot would take place. However, with Faye and John happy to brave the cold, I drove down to the Kent coast for their Folkestone engagement shoot.
We met at Lower Leas Coastal Park, as our original location had been closed due to the wind and icy conditions. It was bitterly cold. Luckily the snow wasn’t as bad this time around and nowhere near as deep. But when that wind picked up, it was like cold nails striking us from all directions.
However, hats off to Faye and John, who admirably sucked it in and said ‘let’s do this’.
With the coldness aside, it was honestly a great laugh walking around with these two. We worked our way through Lower Leas, up to the top overlooking the bay, then back down to the beach.
I heard all about the plans for their wedding in May and I’m really looking forward to documenting their day.
