Essex Wedding At Rayleigh Windmill And The Brandy Hole // Beccy & Adam

Beccy and Adam had a very personal and intimate Essex wedding at Rayleigh Windmill and The Brandy Hole. With around 20 guests for the ceremony and wedding breakfast, this was such a beautiful day. With the traditional fresh feel in the air, Beccy and Adam were also treated to some late autumn sunshine, which helped create a stunning day for this very cool couple. Check out their day below.

Essex Wedding at Rayleigh Windmill and The Brandy Hole With Beccy and Adam

First names: Beccy and Adam
Ages: 29yrs
Wedding date: 26th November 2016
Venue: Rayleigh Windmill & The Brandy Hole, Essex

How did you guys meet, tell me all?
Beccy: Many many years ago, 11 to be precise, I went to the funeral of a lad in my year at school where I caught up with an old friend of mine, Matt. Matt and I decided after the funeral we needed a proper catch up so off we went down the pub, and there we bumped into a group of Matt’s friends, one of whom was Adam! And I’ve never got rid of him since !

How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?
Beccy: More like a tragic one …. We were on  holiday in Perranporth Cornwall and our dog got attacked the day Adam had planned to propose.
Our dog ended up in the vets and Adam ended up in A & E with the ring still in his pocket. On a sunset evening two days later he managed to propose without interruption!

What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?
We wanted something small, quirky and personal and we’ve both grown up in and around Rayleigh all our lives and so The Windmill seemed like the perfect choice.

What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding?
We wanted something relaxed for the day and a big party in the evening. Neither of us are showy type people and just wanted a day we could relax into and enjoy.

What is your first song and why?
Elvis Presley’s Burning Love. We both love the song and tend to have a sing a long in the kitchen while we’re cooking and this seemed perfect and we wanted something upbeat show our celebration. The wedding would probably be off if I chose something sloppy!

What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?
Enjoy it and don’t get hung up on what makes other people happy and do what means most to you, it’s your day!
