Dee & Edd had a rather colourful and elegant wedding at Bromley Court Hotel, surrounded by their closest family and friends. With stunning colours throughout, this really was a gorgeous wedding. Check out Dee and Edd’s amazing wedding day below.
First names: Dee & Edd
Ages: 28 and 27
Wedding date: 24th July 2016
Venue: Bromley Court Hotel
How did you guys meet, tell me all? We knew each other from when we were teenagers, and met up again years later – we just hit it off straight away, and have been inseparable ever since.
How did you get engaged, is there a cool story? We were at Harry Potter Studios (I’m a huge Harry Potter fan), and when we got to Diagon Alley, he stopped me and pulled the ring out and asked me to marry him! You can’t get more magical than that ☺
What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many? Edd found it! I’d spent weeks looking for venues and worrying about money and settings and where people would stay, and the first time Edd picked up the laptop and searched he found the Bromley Court – we went to see it and absolutely loved the Garden Suite and just knew we had to get married there.
What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding? I’m an illustrator and I love bright colours so a tropical theme seemed right! We both love Florida and we’re going there for our honeymoon so the table names are Florida rollercoasters. There are lots of little details through the day that are personal to us.
What is your first song and why? It’s Whitney Houston – My Love is your Love. Our actual song is the Duke Dumont – I Got U which reminds us of ‘that time we went to Mexico’ but we couldn’t do our first dance to that so we picked the original which is still just as awesome!
What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding? DIY is great and can add some real personal touches to the day – but don’t overload on it! It might sound easy (and Pinterest tells you that it is!) but when you start glueing things to 200 favours you’ll wonder why you started it!
