I recently had the privilege of capturing Emily and Gavin’s breathtaking Cliveden House wedding. The day unfolded with absolute perfection at this iconic venue, and it was a true honour to be part of their beautiful day. Every detail at this festive fairytale wedding contributed to the magic of the day, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Emily and Gavin’s love story began in the digital realm of dating apps. They first connected on Bumble, but their initial meeting, as Gavin likes to playfully recall, took place at Blues Kitchen. The details of their first encounter at Blues Kitchen might be a cherished memory, perhaps marked by shared laughter and meaningful conversation.
Gavin’s proposal, however, was a more intimate affair. Picture the two of them snuggled in bed, surrounded by the warmth of their love. It was in this cozy setting that Gavin chose to pop the question, creating a sweet and romantic moment that would become a treasured part of their journey to marriage.
When it came to selecting the perfect venue for their wedding, Gavin showed his thoughtful side. Knowing Emily’s affinity for Cliveden House from her earlier experiences, he surprised her with a birthday stay at the venue. This gesture not only created a beautiful memory but also solidified Cliveden House as “their thing.” After the proposal, Gavin seamlessly incorporated Emily’s dream venue into their wedding plans, saying, “Let’s book Cliveden.” It was a dream come true for Emily, who had always imagined getting married at this enchanting location.
Emily’s wedding dress, designed by Pronovias Atelier, was a stunning choice. Custom sleeves were added to fulfill Emily’s desire for long sleeves, and she knew it was “the one” after trying only a few dresses. The dress embodied the elegance and grace that she envisioned for her special day.
As for the wedding theme, Emily and Gavin aimed for a fairytale vibe with a touch of Tom Ford’s sophistication. This combination created a magical and stylish atmosphere that reflected their unique personalities.
Their first dance was a mix of classic and contemporary love songs. The choice of “I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You” by Elvis carried sentimental value, as it reminded Emily of her brother’s wedding where the song was performed by the groom’s brother-in-law and quartet during the ceremony. The second song, “I’m in Love with You” by the 1975, held personal significance as it became their shared song during car rides to work.
