Jess and Chris’ beautiful Chilston Park Hotel wedding, located within the stunning coach house was just gorgeous. With the sun shining, these guys enjoyed the perfect day together. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much laughter from guests! From the elegant ceremony to the all-out party in the evening, this was one amazing wedding day. Check it out below.

How did you guys meet, tell me all? Back in 2007, we met in the middle of the dance floor at a local night club! Chris approached myself and my group of friends and attempted to impress us with his ‘moves!’ My friends were not overly impressed with his hip-shaking so turned around and moved across the dance floor. When they looked back to find me, I was totally charmed by him and spent the rest of the night singing and dancing the night away. 11 years later we are still passionate about music – our dance moves are a little rustier though!
How did you get engaged, is there a cool story? In April 2017, we flew to Australia to visit Chris’ family. One day, the whole family travelled by boat to a nearby island off the west coast (Rottnest Island.) Whilst there, Chris and I went to explore the beautiful island together and unexpectedly stumbled across a tiny cove – which was only accessible by climbing down the rocks. We clambered down to the tiny bay below us and I started to take pictures of the water. Chris called my name, and when I turned around, he was down on one knee! Although I’d be waiting 10 years, it was still a total surprise! All of his family were waiting on the beach across the island with champagne ready to pop. It was a good job I said yes!
What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many? We spent time researching lots of different types of venues, before realising that what we wanted was a beautiful location – where the ceremony and wedding reception could all be in one place, guests could stay overnight, and the venue had lots of character. Chilston Park certainly ticked all of our boxes!
What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding? It took a while for us to develop a theme – it sort of just evolved itself over time. As we are getting married in the old coach house part of the venue, we have a rustic theme to our wedding. Lots of hessian decorations hanging from the old stables, and white lace featuring throughout the wedding details.
What is your first song and why? Simply Red – For your babies. We both love Simply Red and have seen them several times in concert. The lyrics to the song really resonate with us.
What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding? Our top tip would be to take time to really explore and research what it is that you want for your wedding. We found it very overwhelming at first with how much choice there was for themes, cakes, flowers, stationery etc.
