Charlton House wedding in London // Wing and Eliot

Charlton House wedding in LondonWing and Eliot’s Charlton House wedding in London was a fantastic fusion of Chinese and English traditions, to reflect their mixed cultural heritage. With Wing changing into no less than three dresses throughout! This was the perfect day, for two of the nicest people you’re ever likely to meet. Check it out below.

First names: Eliot and Wing
Wedding date: 18.08.2018
Venue: Charlton House, London

How did you guys meet, tell me all?

We met at sixth form college. Eliot needed some additional help in learning German, so we met after school on Thursdays where I tutored him. Once we finished, Eliot asked me out and the rest is history.

How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?

We got engaged in Milan in Parco Sempione. Eliot improvised on the day and managed to find a beautiful tree you could go under and proposed inside. He likes to think he was really coy about it all, but I had the idea something was up though and couldn’t guess what. I would never have thought he was preparing to propose though!

What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?

We liked the character of Charlton House and thought the venue represented who we were as people. Other venues were a bit more flashy/extravagant/showy, but that’s not so much who we are.

What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding?

Fusion wedding to reflect our mixed cultural heritages.

What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?

Have a “fuck it!” bucket. There’s so much pressure to achieve perfection in a wedding, but at the end of the day regardless of what happens, you’ll marry the love of your life. Enjoy your engagement it goes by far too quickly!
