Sam & Matt had an incredible wedding at The Anglers Of Walton in Surrey! These guys had a laugh and that is exactly how you should do it. With the low sun on a December afternoon, check out these amazing wedding pictures.

I’ll be honest, I’m a little biased as Matt is an old school friend of mine, one that I hadn’t seen in nearly 20 years. So when he asked me to photograph his wedding last year, I felt so honoured. I also met other school friends I hadn’t seen in ages, which made this wedding so very special to me. Where does 20 years go? Then I met his amazing new wife and honestly, it felt a little emotional. It’s so great to see this friendship group go to where they all aspired.

Anyway… I asked Matt to tell us about his new wife. This is their story…

How did you guys meet, tell me all?
We met at a rave in 1998, then bumped into each other again 6 years ago in Butlins.

How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?
I surprised Sammie to a weekend away in the New Forest, to her surprise, I had already been there the day before to put up a huge banner outside the log cabin saying ‘will you marry me?’ She was certainly very surprised, but said yes!

What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?
We only looked at one venue, as Sammies family have all been married in the same church and it meant a lot to her. The Anglers Of Walton was nearby and made the perfect reception.

What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding?
Our theme has a gentle christmas edge, but ultimately we just want everyone to have fun!

What is your first song and why?
One and only – Adele. We both love the song and the words are very relevant to us as we met years ago. Plus, as a surprise, I have an Adele lookalike singing the first song!

What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?
Don’t marry a bridezilla! (Ross’ Edit – Good advice.)
