Cassie and Tony’s rustic and autumnal November wedding at The Ferry House Inn, was just gorgeous. Even the falling rain didn’t stop these guys smiling! Check it all out here.
First names: Cassie & Tony
Ages: 31 & 35
Wedding date: Friday 8th November 2019
Venue: The Ferry House Inn
How did you guys meet, tell me all?
We met at a friend’s birthday celebration at a local bar. Tony’s persistence eventually paid off…and the rest is history!
How did you get engaged, is there a cool story?
Tony had surprised me with a weekend break at the Maidstone Great Danes Hotel and tickets to the Leeds Castle Fireworks event, this has become some what of a tradition over the years as it was our first weekend break we had together and I absolutely love the fireworks! We went for a stroll around the festive stalls and then the lake. I had been slightly suspicious at the hotel and when walking to Leeds Castle as Tony had appeared to be sweating quite a bit and keeping his hands firmly in his pockets! Tony was pretty insistent about keeping his jacket on!…I was admiring the lake & castle when Tony rolled off a romantic speech and got down on one knee and proposed!
What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?
We looked at a few venues, but the Ferry House was the one for us, a true gem! The venue has an intimate, relaxed country vibe with beautiful surrounding nature and not forgetting the Estuary.
What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding?
Rustic and Autumn vibes! We went pumpkin picking…
What is your first song and why?
ED Sheeran – Perfect. When Tony heard this song I was at work and hearing the lyrics, he felt like it was almost writen for us. He went out and bought the album straight away and had this song in mind for our first dance ever since.
What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?
Don’t get too caught up in glossy wedding magazines and Pinterest, although it’s great to get ideas, you might end up doubting your decisions the more you keep looking! Be reassured your wedding day will be special!
