This colourful and rustic farm wedding in Kent was simply awesome! Set within the family home and it’s beautiful grounds, this really was the perfect location to hold such an incredible wedding! Bright orange was the main theme of the day, which entwined itself amongst the rustic details that the couple had lovingly arranged. As a special bonus, the bride had even arranging a Spitfire flypast for her new husband! Simply incredible. Could this day get any better! Check it all out below…
First names: Alice & James
Ages: 29 & 27
Wedding date: 6th August 2016
Venue: St Marys Ide Hill Church / Family Home – Bardogs Farmhouse
How did you guys meet, tell me all? I was a bar maid in the local pub (Wheatsheaf) and James was a drinker in the local pub. Free beer and a good few weeks of late nights and boozing and it all begun.
How did you get engaged, is there a cool story? We got engaged in Antigua on the beach under the stars after having an amazing tasting menu at Sheer Rocks overlooking the sea and the sun setting. James made an engagement ring out of a piece of silver birch!
What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many? It’s my family home!
What was the inspiration/theme of your wedding? Colourful, Fun and an extra-large family gathering!
What is your first song and why? Ellie Goulding – Your Song. It was number 1 when we first met and started seeing eachother.
What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding? Just get on with it and tell your other half what’s happening rather than asking ‘what do you think’?
So, from Spitfires to Morris Minors, it’s time to grab yourself a cup of tea and check out this amazingly colourful and rustic farm wedding in Kent.
